In particular, Committee members took the decision to suggest the main committee recommend the Verkhovna Rada adopt as a basis the following bills: on amendments to the Law “On Joint Stock Companies” (re reduction of quorum for holding general elections of a joint stock company in order to ensure stable investment regime in Ukraine) (Reg. No. 2035); on Ukraine’s Accession to the Convention on Children Protection and Cooperation in Respect of Interstate Adoption (Reg. No. 2002); on amendments to the Mining Law of Ukraine re social guarantees to the personnel of mining enterprises that are liquidated or preserved (Reg. no. 2715); on amendments to several laws of Ukraine re improvement of access to information by acoustically handicapped (Reg. No. 2384).
People’s deputies recommended approve the list of bills that are regulated by national legislation of the EU member states; do not pertain to Ukraine’s obligations within the Council of Europe; and do not require expert conclusion of the Committee (all in all 57 bills).
Committee members took the decision recommend the main committee recommit the draft laws registered under No 2062 and No 2062-1, as non-corresponding to the EU legislation.
The Committee upheld the draft resolution on holding parliamentary hearings entitled “Visa free regime between Ukraine and the EU: prospects and new opportunities for the citizens of Ukraine”.
The Committee took the decision to hold parliamentary hearings regarding the status of implementation of the first phase of the Action Plan on Visa Liberalization between Ukraine and the EU till the end of June and to hold committee hearings entitled “Formation of state information policy in the sphere of Euro-integration”, involving the Committee on European Integration and the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information, till the end of current session.
Apart form this, the Provision on Scientific and Expert Council at the Committee on European Integration, as well as its composition, have been approved.
